Privacy Policy

OmniCast is built around a simple principle: your screen is yours. We designed the app so the vast majority of what you do never leaves your device, your local network, or your eyes.

The short version

  • We do not require an account to use OmniCast.
  • Casting happens directly between your Apple devices and your TV, over your local network.
  • We do not see, store, or transmit the contents of your screen.
  • We don't sell your data. There's no data to sell.

1. Information we don't collect

OmniCast does not collect personal information such as your name, address, phone number, contacts, photos, browsing history, or the contents of anything you cast. The app does not require you to create an account.

2. Information processed only on your device

To deliver OmniCast's core features, the app processes the following locally and only for the duration of your session:

  • Names and IP addresses of casting targets discovered on your local network.
  • The screen, window, or media stream you choose to cast.
  • Your in-app preferences (e.g. selected TV, layout, brightness).

None of this information is sent to OmniCast servers.

3. Diagnostics & crash reports

If you opt in via iOS / iPadOS / macOS system settings, Apple may share aggregated, anonymized crash and performance reports with us through Apple's standard developer diagnostics. These reports never include the contents of your cast or any personal identifiers. You can disable this at any time in your device's Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

4. Subscriptions

If you purchase OmniCast Pro, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple via the App Store. We never receive your payment details. We do receive an anonymized purchase token from Apple to verify your subscription status; this token cannot be used to identify you personally.

5. Third-party services

OmniCast does not embed third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The marketing website (omnicast.tech) uses only privacy-respecting infrastructure (Cloudflare) and does not set advertising cookies.

6. Children

OmniCast is rated for general audiences and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.

7. Your rights

Because we do not collect or store personal data, there is generally nothing for us to access, export, or delete on your behalf. If you believe we hold any information about you and would like to inquire, contact us at the email below.

8. Changes to this policy

We'll update this page if our practices ever change. Material changes will be highlighted on the home page before they take effect.
